Downtown Wilson has a new look to enhance the visitor to a vibrant and thriving downtown. Look for the new logo for Wilson and our slogan "Simply Wonderful". The Wilson Visitors Center located at 209 Broad Street in Historic Downtown Wilson offers visitors and groups the start of the Downtown Walking Tour. New retail shops and locally owned restaurants, new businesses are in abundance. Historic Preservation is working hard to restore old buildings and homes in the downtown area. Be a part of the Downtown Alive series and First Fridays on the Lawn in the spring/summer months. Visit the Arts Council Galleries, Enjoy a science show at Imagination Station, learn about the African American history at the Freeman Roundhouse Museum, catch a show at the Boykin Theater or shop for Antiques. Purchase local art at Studio One or enjoy a walking tour of downtown.
